well, what do you guys think? it does have some kinda seam that runs horizontal from about midways up. i dunno if that is the seem that you are talking about but there is one. also, it got kinda chipped up during shipment i suppose. when i picked it up, one whole corner of the hood was not even covered....the box had apparently been torn away. doesn't look too bad. one thing i was gonna ask.....i had a 2000 SS Camaro a couple of years ago and on the underside of the hood, it had tunnels where the air would flow through the grill and into the air lid. those of you with that year ss would know what i mean. do these earlier ss hoods (96-97) not have these? maybe they had different air lids.....i dunno. i have never seen a 96-97 ss so i have no idea. well, thanks for all the help.

just wanted to do a follow up on this for anyone who was following it. as you can see, i have not posted on this since September but i did finally get the hood. upon close inspection of the hood, i found that it was busted in a few areas such as on one side where it mounts to the hinge. also, due to the poor packaging method used (it was shipped in a office desk box that was taped together with a small bit of styrofoam on the two points) one of the points on the rear of the hood was cracked and pulled back as if it was a fingernail. he also charged me $200 to ship it and when i picked it up i found out that it only cost him $84.50 (i have the ticket in front of me) that obviously sucks. overall, this was a horrible buying experience and one that hopefully someone else can learn from. i originally paid $550 for the hood with shiping and i still have not gotten it painted because i have not had the money to have it repaired and painted. Josh, if you are reading this, just want you to know that i still think you are a pos and as far as i am concerned, you owe me money back but i know i will never get it so i will not ask. but i will not forget about this, and just remember, it WILL come back to you one day.

I'm originally from Kentucky. If you ever get an itching to go to Texas, I have a bat that you can borrow. Some people suck and make life for the rest of us a lot less fun.
