Easily answered question:
Is there an internal reset button for the stock stereo? I have power, and the display works but no sound is coming out the speakers. All connections look good-just no sound. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE HELPFUL!

My suggestion would be to get rid of that stereo, sorry but it's a pile.

Amen.... Upgrade my son, upgrade!!! You won't be disappointed. I took my stock unit out even though it worked like a charm. It just doesn't have the control some of these newer units do. Anyway, good luck. Stereos are lots of fun!

My 84 Z28 still has the original stereo cassette deck in it... no idea if it works on not... if you come by and take it out(neatly), you can have it! I've got a Sony CDX-C7000X Xplode CD player ready to go in, when it's up and running.

I am going to move this to the Sound System Forum.

And please, refrain from having titles like that. This is a family orientated board, afterall.
