My 94 Z28 came with the Bose stereo, and I threw in a pioneer HU. I was thinking, could I some how get AUX input on the stock Bose HU? I want to plug in like an external XM sky fi thing into it. Can I do this or does it have to be FM modulated?

I guess what I forgot to say was that I notcied an extra plug input on the back of my bose HU. Looks to be for a cd changer? I wan thinking maybe I could trick the HU into thinking a cd changer is hooked up, so I could line levels into it. lol

I'd like to do the same thing, I think we could make it work if we could just find the cable that plugs into the back of the Bose, then do something similar to: http://www.pqtsi.com/sedona/vetmp3.pdf

 

I posted this over a year ago. Anyways, I ended up selling the bose stereo and got a full size Pioneer deh-p77dh. I hate the look of the small aftermarket radios.

How do you like that pioneer? look good with the rest of the interior?

Has anyone talked to Bose to see if a connector / pin out diagram exists for the back of that stereo? There is an extra plug there that must be for something.

I talked to the Bose folks a couple years ago on another issue, and they weren't too helpful
