Post Is This BS?

I put in an alpine 7893 awhile back amd after i did, i get speaker pop when i turn up the volume or hit a preset button. I lived with it for awhile until i got to my local installer. He said that it was a ground loop problem.Has anyone installed an after market deck and kept the rest of the system and had this problem? or is he blowing smoke up my a$$!

Did you connect the factory ground wire to the ground wire on the head unit? If so, disconnect it. Find the closest part of the chassis and make your own ground. Make sure up sand off the paint and scratch it up good. Stock ground are usually pretty noisy because they are used to ground many other things... some not even audio related! With the stock system power you might not have heard it, but now that you have a real CD player....
