Question I need a radio that can....

I need an inexpensive unit that can play MP3 CD's AND utilize the stock amps/speakers from a `95 BOSE system. it doesn't need a ton of bells and whistles. Does such a beast exist. what would I need to use the stock speakers.

All you need is an adapter like the PAC OEM-1 with the GM21 wiring harness to add an aftermarket HU to your factory BOSE system.

Is there any sort of disadvantage or possible problems adapting a aftermarket HU into the Bose system ?

Whenever you use an LOC (Line Output Converter) there will always be some loss of sound quality. Whether or not it is audible depends on your hearing ability. Personally, I would never add on to a factory system. I'd either replace everything or leave it alone.
