Angry Man this sucks!

the other night someone broke into my camaro. Got away with a 300 cd player, 2 memphis 10's and an extant amp! The worst thing about it was I was getting my alarm in the next day. I'm so ticked. Well, I figured I would get 3 Memphis Studio 12's in a t-top area box (whatever it's called) a Memphis 500D amp, memphis mids and highs, a memphis cap and a 250d memphis amp for the mid and highs. Also a memphis equalizer...All Memphis baby Anyway, I"m not sure of a head unit, I kinda want one with a detachable face, round about 400 bucks...anyone have any opinions? I want my new system to be loud as bonkers Thanks for the help
God Bless

Hmmm... Did you happen to give the shop doing the install your address when you scheduled the appointment?

Nah, they are all pretty good friends of mine. They don't know where I live though.

Man that really sucks. Alarm first system next and if you have expensive equipment (most people do) pager for the alarm. Make sure the pager antenna is shown advanced criminals know it when they see it and will usually leave it alone. Not that I would know anything about that (HA!). Here they hit a lot of cars at movie theatres and the malls. The pager will reach in those places with no problem the DEI is the strongest I have found its 4watts 1mile per 2watts...Its only good for 3/4 of a mile in most cases. Down here there is a group that steals that will put your dash and everything back together. They disconnect the siren as soon as they enter the car...Get two sirens on oposite ends of the car (that'll pissem off) even if they destroy the brain of the alarm the page has already been sent.

Cool

Good choice going w/ Memphis stuff, it is great!

Amp wise, though, I'd suggest going w/ a 1000D or 1500D. That will push those subs a lot harder. Also, what will you be running for mids/highs? May want to consider the Memphis Belle; that will run it all, and run it all very well (its a 1000D + their big 4-channel all built into one).

Head units, hmmm. I've gotten into Pioneer lately...lot of bang for the buck. I'd go for Premier though, you get a little more for the same money. I love Eclipse head units as well, but even though they have ESN, I still wish they had a detachable face, since stupid criminals will still steal it.
