Stero removal
#2
I have a genuine chrysler deck I'll sell you that you can put back in place of the CD player. I'll sell it to you for $25 and I'll even pay the shipping. Email me at drmilhouse@attbi.com if you're interested.
To remove it, just remove the deck the metal "can" (sleeve that the radio sits in) and unplug the wires. The deck may be "hardwired" in which case it's going to be a pain, take it to someone with experience or leave it in the car. If it is not hardwired, there will be a harness which is plugged in to the factory wiring. You won't know which it is until you open it up.

does anyone have an attractive solution to making the plastic adapters used for making aftermarket decks fill the 1.5 din hole look good? i thought about just painting it but then it wouldnt look good without painting other interior pieces. i dont want to get to contstructive, like molding it to the dash to make it look like one piece either cuz i wanna be able to take it out if i need to.
