I just switched from Infinity Reference components to Boston Acoustics Rally components. The BA's woofer seem to handle loud mid-bass better than the Infinity's did.

most would agree that you really only need a front stage which means spend the money on the front components. In my case with my DVD setup, I went with front and rear components since I need full range for my rear fill also. But if you must have a rear fill, then I would suggest some midbass drivers. As for which brand, you are going to have to demo different brands and models and see which one appeals to you...though Focals are some great speakers

I hope you are talking about the size and not the price for a Focal Utopia. If you are then, yeah. You will need the 165W.

CDT Audio Eurosports 2-way components up front and CDT CL-6 coaxials in the rear. Two Infinity Perfect 10's in a Milhouse box from www.subthump.com. Arc Audio and Phoenix Gold for amplification. Kimber 4VS speaker wire. Monster interconnects. Currently, I'm running an Alpine CDA-7998 for the source. This may change to an Eclipse CD8062.

The CDT Audio speakers are so clean, detailed, airy, with terrific midbass. No harshness or fatigue. I've used Focal Utopia & JL Audio XR, and these are in a league far and above everything else, IMHO.

My system is pretty basic as I wanted to keep T top storage and reduce the amount of added weight. Here is what I have:

Diamond Audio Hex series 6 1/2" component set up front.
Diamond Audio M3 coaxial 6.5's in the back.
Diamond Audio M5 10" sub in JL Stealthbox
Xtant 3300 amplifier
Sony 1HD head unit going in this week; have Alpine 7894 in currently.

I agree to spend the most money on your front components as your rears should just provide an ambience or reflected sound.
