'94 Z28 LS1 swap track car $10.5K
I've got a '94 Z28 that has been converted to a HPDE car.
Safety: It's got an auto power rollbar. 2 sparco racing seats. Simpson 5 point belts with camlock release. NRG quick release wheel.
Engine: '02 Ls1 out of a trans am.
Ls6 intake
Texas Speed 1 7/8 inch headers to 3.5 inch collectors ( I think). These go to a y pipe thru a free flow race muffler to a single exhaust.
Has an Improved Racing oil pan with race baffles to stop oil starvation (oil pressure never under 45 PSI).
Turn One power steering pump and pulley.
Engine makes 338 RWHP & 382 ft pds of torque on a rolling dyno.
Transmission: freshly built T56 this spring by Highgear Transmission. Has Hurst short shift kit.
LS swap an tune was done by Race Proven Motorsports in New Castle DE.
Brakes: rear brakes are stock
Front brakes: Baer big brake kit - 4 piston calipers, 13 inch rotors. Hawk blues with 1 weekend on them.
Suspension: UMI adjustable upper and lower control arms in front.
Sway bars front and rear
Subframe connectors as well.
Car stays flat thru turns and is surprisingly nimble for a large car.
Tires/wheels: 17x9.5 forgeline wheels in front with new 275/40/17 Nitto nt05 tires (1 event on them)
17x11 forgeline wheels in the rear with 315/35/17 Nitto nt05 with a season on them.
Car performs very well; I'm consistently top 5 fastest in my run group (intermediate). That's running with mainly Porsches (911, Cayman, GT3s, turbos...). Probably should be faster (driver limited). It's a blast to drive, Very reliable, runs on pump gas and is cheap to maintain.
I'm definitely forgetting some things, contact me with questions.
