WTB 4th Gen Camaro, prefer Non-Running
Hey all-
If anyone has a Second-Half Fourth-Gen (1998-2002) Z28 or SS that is not running, with either a bad engine or no engine at all, I'd love to take it off your hands.
What's mostly important to me is that it be a Camaro in good shape, that just happens to have a powertrain that's in bad shape, or missing entirely. I already have an LS1, transmission, and other parts.
If it's still running, but just has like 250,000 miles or something, I wouldn't mind driving it home, if the distance is reasonable.
If anyone thinks this thread would make more sense in the WTB Parts section, I'm all ears.
Thanks,
John

Thanks for the tip, I'll check those out.
Regarding any fourth-gen, my mechanic friend who will be helping me says the whole thing will just go so much easier if we stick to 98-02. Apparently wiring harness and some other things will just go easier that way. We're looking for the project to be "plug and play."
I've been seeing some cars around GA, but man, F-bodies seem to be priced higher in the Southeast, don't know why.
Thanks all.

I have an 01 z28 that's not running. Found out that the starter broke in half and took a chunk of the bottom of the engine with it. Shoot me an offer if your interested. It has minor hail damage and a dent on the driver side rear where a truck backed into me. Other than that it's in good shape. Engine only had about 140k on it, well maintained (or so I thought).

i have a 96 camaro that i may be willing to let go for the right price. it has 66k origonal miles on the body. it has no engine or trans in it right now but i do have all the parts. it had a 383 in it but the crank snapped on me about 2 years ago. the body is in very good shape, it has a moser 12 bolt rear, and all adjustable rear suspension, qa1 struts and springs up front and countless other after market parts. i have a 355 that i bought awhile ago, but i just never got around to putting it all back together. let me know if you would be interested, i can go down the laundy list of all the stuff i have for it.
