AutoXray 6000 vs. Datamaster

Can the AutoXray 6000(http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku) do the same things that Datamaster can do? Which one is better?

The Auto Xray 6000 includes scan software that allows you to continuously capture PCM data for an extended period of time, using a laptop.

As far as the original question... DataMaster is only for OBD-I. Unless your 96 has an OBD-I conversion, it won't work with your car.

These are two signifiacntly different products.... DataMaster is limited to very specific OBD-I vehicles, and only works with a laptop. It includes some interesting graphic presentations of the data, but I still prefer to convert the data to an Excel spreadsheet for a more detailed analysis. The Auto Xray 6000 is both OBD-I and OBD-II. And it can be used as a handheld, not requiring the laptop unless you want extended data collection.

I don't have a lab top that is why i am interested. With datamaster I would have to buy the software, cables, convert to OBD1, and buy a laptop. Auto Xray 6000 would be cheaper for me.

Also, will AutoXray 6000 work with Windows Vista? I don't see anything on their website.

If you buy the Autoxray 6000, pick up a J. C. Whitney catalog and use the 15% off coupon.
