Post Need help w/ laptop and tunercat

I have tunercat on my desktop but it does me no good on the desktop. I have tried to put it on my laptop with no success. I see all the file i see on my desktop but nothng will work properly. Everytime i open tunercat i get a message saying to register or something, i either have to accept or decline. If i decline it shuts down.
When i open tunercat, and try to put a file in. It either says need to use $ee file.

More or less i can not get any file to appear in the tunercat program. I'm having trouble unzipping the file too. If i try to unzip they stay in a file that is read only. When i try to put the file up on the tunercat program it tells me it is corrupt or invalid file. I tried to download everything from tunercat (new, instead of coppying and transfering it on disc). No luck. I can not get the file to appear on the program?

Make sure your pcm files ($ee) are in the tuner sub directory, ie c:\programfiles\cats\tuner the files are pcm_ee.tdf formlib.tff etc, and make sure on the top bar of tuner under the ECM tab you select PCM_EE

If you burned the file to a cd and copied it from the cd to your laptop then it will be read only. You can right click on the file and then left click properties and change the file attributes (uncheck the read only box) and wala.

If your copying and pasting, install the shareware on the laptop. Then copy the C:\Program Files\Tunercat\CATS (or whatever) directory over to the same place on the laptop. If your doing this over a network then it should be quite easy, or if via CD Burner it is easy as well, as mentioned make sure the files are not READ ONLY.

You need whatever registry entries the program puts in, and whatever OCX etc in Windows\System, and the easiest way to do this is install the shareware first. Or just install the latest shareware, and then put in your registration information, and copy over any other BIN files you use etc
