New Scanner: Autoxray EZ-Read 2000, "Vehicle not reponding"

I just bought this new OBD 1 and 2 scanner for my car, and others in the future.

Its was $179.99 at AutoBarn. Its the AutoXray EZ-Read 2000. When i put it into the car i config in and then all it says is

"VEHICLE NOT RESPONDING"

I have the correct connector, in the correct connection.

BTW: Its a 94 Z28 with OBD I connector. I dont get it, is there a fuse or sumthin to check or different process

I turn the key on, plug it in and scan.

Yes, they share the same circuit. If that doesn't work, you'll have to call AutoXray help line. One other thing, weak batteries can also cause that.
