Oh my god im such a dummy (tunercats)
Ok i ve installed the software with the password for the license and the ecm defenition(f-body 94/95 lt1)
Everything went great.I ve got communication between the ecm and the software in the laptop. But im a dumbass, yeah really.
I was looking into the option of the tuner and clic on the option "program pcm" in the tool option. But i think that it erase my flash memory in my car ecm and now it wont start again. It crank but nothing else???
I know im stupid but is there any way to put back my flash memory that was a mail order tune by the way.
Yep i feel really stupid
And also the software doesnt want to read my pcm anymore since there is nothing inside

Interesting....
Do all your editing without being connected to the car, when you are done, use winflash to upload to the PCM, if it doesn't work, then you are really unlucky and probably blew your PCM, buy a new chip.
Don't bother reading, write.

When you click "Program PCM", it will first erase the PCM, then load it with the current bin file you have open with TC.
If you clicked "Program PCM" and did not have a bin file "open" in TC..then it just erased the PCM.
As mentioned above. IF you want to only download the bin file stored in the PCM...start TC..connect the cables..then click "Read PCM"...this will load the PMC file into TC so you can save/edit it and make different versions of it....do this with the cables disconnected so you don't accidentally do what you just did
Load the version of the bin/pcm file you want to load into the PCM...connect the cables...then click "Program PCM".
Don't touch anything while its programming. I also pull out the 2 fan relays before hand so it doesn't kick the fans on for that 1 second during programming...if you have a weak battery, the fans coming on may just pull the voltage low enough to abend the program sequence....ask me how I know
As far as the blown PCM, you can send it to several different folks and they can remove the flash chip and install some socketed chips that have been reflashed with a stock bin. I also have a chip burner setup to reflash the chips outside the PCM and then just pop them in the sockets and go.
Once the program sequence abends, the only way to get the initial instruction back on the chips is to remove them and place in a chip burner/flasher to reload them...can't do it with TC.

Something missing from the story here...

So with that info, maybe he didn't have the file definition set to $EE and tried to flash with something else, or his battery was low and when it went to blip the fans on it cut the connection.
