ProScan v2.0! what do you think
I was going to buy a diagnostic tool from Pepboys, then i ran acrossed this ProScan 2 software on the internet. I already have 3 laptops, so i was thinking about buying it (as a diagnostic tool). I plan on sending out my PCM to PCMforless ,to get a good tune. Do they provide software to do diagnosis with?

The Elmscan interface it comes with also supports other OBDII scanning software and will work with all GM models not just the fbody.
Here's a sight with free software for the same interface.

Proscan will read the trouble codes and also tell you when your monitors are ready if you have to pass an OBDII scan for emissions
I haven't tried the other tools in the program yet but I'd give it a thumbs up.

This software will also work with the elmscan interface.
It reads trouble codes and looks very cool and can log for any length of time which you can replay.
I haven't used it much yet as family matters put my car on the backburner recently but I'd give it a look.
With 1 elmscan interface you can have 3 scanning programs, 1 free which boots up very fast for reading codes quickly and 2 others that take a little longer to open but give you all kinds of information and graphs and logs.

You could buy the Proscan or Pcmscan with the elmscan interface, buy the other software only whichever works out cheaper, and download the free Scantool.

Correction, Pcmscan works with but doesn't sell the elmscan interface so I'd go with the Proscan kit and get the free software then later decide if you want the Pcmscan also.
Pcmscan says it will work with Autotap interfaces according to their website but it didn't work with my AT-1 first gen one.
