12s finally -LT1 w/ bolt ons

Took the Z out to the track for the first time this year. Just got a new set of prostars and dropped the front sway bar. I was hoping for a new best tonight and I got it. First pass was horrible, spun through 1st and 2nd. Second pass was a new best 13.2 @ 106 w/ only a 2.0 60'. Final pass was by far a new best...

60' - 1.879
1/4 - 12.992 @ 106.85

12s with a 147K mile LT1 with bolt ons - <-- my face after the run, lol

How'd you spin horrible the first run? are you warming up your tires enough?

Keep at it.... she's got more in her.

I have no idea how I spun so bad on the first run. I heated them up more than any other time on that pass. I think someone in front of me must have dragged a bunch of water up there or soemthing.

And don't worry, I'll be spraying it again soon. Last year had a best of 11.9 @ 118 on the nitrous and looking to improve on that this season.

Congrats man, makes me miss my old LT1, I had almost the same mileage and mods as you, could never get it into the 12s though because of a horrible exhaust leak that I couldnt fix.

Good runs though!

on my 12.9 pass I had it at about 3500 and didn't dump on it, but I came off the clutch very fast and just floored it. They hook pretty good. I had them at 16psi on that pass. I could have launched harder, but I am scared for the 10-bolt, haha.

8.35 @ 84.32 in the 1/8. You have the 1/8 ET to get to 12s.
