Post 1st 3 runs ever i need criticism and advice

1st run (ever at a track) i spun like crazy coming off the line and got sideways, had to let off and get back on it
r/t.- 959
60ft- 2.59
330- 6.92
1/8- 10.199
mph- 74.44
1000- 12.953
1/4- 15.268
mph- 97.90

2nd run hardly any wheel spin but i missed (more like grinded) 3rd and shifted into 5th
r/t.-727
60- 2.361
330- 6.30
1/8- 9.85
mph- 40.39 <-i missed 3rd
1000- 13.148
1/4- 15.929
mph- 81.81

3rd run bogged off the line but i had a good mph ****ty 60ft
rt.- 682
60- 2.744
330- 6.809
1/8- 10.038
mph- 34.61?????
1000- 12.751
1/4- 15.036
mph- 99.09

the way i see it is i really need to practice my launch
on my 3rd run i would assume its safe to say that with a good 60ft around 2.0 to 2.1 i should be in the high 13's like 13.7 or higher? with an even better mph
yeah this was at Gateway in St.Louis hot and humid as a *****

In your second run did you miss 3rd and then slam on the breaks? your second gear should be going up to about 70mph and that shift is pretty close to the end of the 1/8. It really looks like you are shifting way to early in first and second gear. You went from 74 to 98 mph which is alot to gain at the end of the track for your car. with a 98 in the 1/4 you should be at 77-79 in the 1/8. It looks like you need some serious launching practice and some better tires.

nah didnt hit the bakes the speed at the 1/8mi marker was screwy as you can see in my 3rd run (same kinda thing) very low mph
i definately know i need to work on the launch but hey it was my 1st time and i was a wee bit nervous
i prolly am shifting early what rpm do you recommend shifting? i believe i was at a little over 5600rpm's when i shifted
does anyone know the link for the shift light that goes in the vent near the door
i've got some BFG KDW's that i'm goona use next time i go hopefully that will help some
so going by my 60ft times and final ET and mph what do ya think my car should be capable of if and when i do it all right

Simple, with a good 60 ft (like a 2.0) you should see 13.9 - 14.0.
I generally run in that range with mph between 98 - 101.

Practice the launch and get some drag radials.

You should be shifting at ~ 5800 rpm.
