60' on street tires??

Re: 60' on street tires??
It is a very good time on street tires. I've done several 1.8s on kuhmos with a best of 1.85. I assume you have a stock clutch. After I changed my clutch to the Mcloed, the best I can manage now is 1.95 on nittos. Without the ability to slip the clutch, it's very difficult to get those 60s on street tires.

I ran consistent 2.0 60' times on my old Sumitiomos(all season) with 1/4 tread left. They were actually a very sticky tire, stickier than those POS Kuhmo Estica summer tires I currently have. I haven't been to the track with the new tires yet. Right now the Kuhmos break loose when I stomp on it at 30mph and it shifts down to 1st.

See my reply above yours? That 2.02 was on Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 711s. Yea, the CHEAP $50 tire.

I have gone 1.8s on Kuhmo 712s, thats flashing the converterright out the hole off a foot brake. That night the track had bad *** prep, usally though, with the converter I'm lucky to see a 2.1 at best
