Anybody using adjustable KYB shocks for drag racing?
I pretty much am looking for a cheap alternative to Hal 12 way adjustable shocks. It will strictly be just a drag race shock, it will always be set loose. Anybody running the KYB's? What do you think of them? Thanks!

First of all there is no "soft" setting with KYBs. 1 is equivalent to your OEM shock ... then it gets progressively stiffer from there. This is per KYB's tech support.
So for the rear, where you want to go stiff anyway, personally I feel they are better value than the HALs.
As for the front, since that is where you need to go soft, they would probably be no more effective as a drag shock than your stock shocks.
I run KYBs in the rear set to 8 on the passenger side and 5 on the driver side. Presently up front I am running stock shocks, but will be going to to HALs on stock springs - the HAL springs would be better, but I'm trying to maintain as much road handling capabilty as I can.
Good Luck
