Ok I have a questions. I'm new to drag and street racing, I have a 1999 z28 6 speed and I was wondering the right way to do a burnout with a manual trans.

i have a 2002 6 speed and i ussually just rev up and let it spin. but sometimes if i wanna see a lot of smoke i'll brake torque my manual. to do this hold the brake down with ur heel while u rev the engine a little. let the clutch slip to your breaking point while ur at about 2-3k rpms then ease off from there and matt the gas... u'll be engulfed in smoke. WARNING: if you dont do it right u can burn ur clutch up

well i do it like this l rev the car up not to high, dump the clutch to get the tires spinning, than stab at the brake with my left foot while i'm gassing with my right, careful not to bounce off the rev limiter just give it enough gas to hold a steady amount of tire spin and voila smoke show
kinda like brake torqing an automatic
it took me about 2 times to do it right
good luck

I do it the same way as the last guy but you have to be carefull when you stop smoking them, you have to jump your foot from the brake back to the clutch and from the gas to the clutch and do all this before your car jolts forward.
