Dude stay away from spacers!!!! they are a safety issue. I have drag lights on my 97 z 15x10 in rear 15x3.5 up front. Just do some grinding on the calipers and you will be fine thats what i did and so did my friends. Go to sears buy a grinding stone bit for a drill and go to town. Once you do some grinding put rim back on caliper and see if it hits, if it does take a sharpe marker and mark the spots that its hitting, do a little more grinding if required and see if there are any new spots thats its hitting. Also some drag strips wont let you run w/ spacers!!!! good luck

I got my prostars to fit on the back with minimal grinding. The fronts would not fit without a 5/16" spacer. They were not hitting the caliper at all, but they were hitting on the spring clip that holds the brake pad in the caliper. I also had just put on new powerslot rotors and new pads up front. I think if your rotors aren't new, you might be able to get away with no spacer.
Spacers are not that bad. Just get a hub-centric spacer. Not the sloppy fits-all vehicle spacers. I think the hub-centric spacers are NHRA legal.

Ditto..... front Pro-Star was hitting the spring clip that holds the pads in the caliper, and the very end of the big horizontal arm that the pads and calipers rest on. Whether the spring clip interferes may be less of a problem if your pads are nearly worn out, and the caliper is pulled in closer to the rotor. Put new pads on, and you will see where the interference is.
NHRA permits wheel spacers, as long as they are the type that are "centered" on the spindle, either by the lugs or by the hub. You will need longer studs when you run the spacers.

Spacers have been used for years, though their safety is debated. My take on spacers is that they are safe for drag use if the studs are of high quality, are in good condition, and are tightened correctly. I would recommend checking the torque on the lug nuts after each run.

I personally see no problem with thin spacers in the front on a drag car.... most of these cars can't generate 1.0G on braking specially with a 4.5" wide tire, so there's not much in the way of loading on the fronts. Compared to the backs where you can get impact loading of 2+G's, I'd be a little hesitant to use a spacer or adapter on the back with a slick on a high HP setup.
