FIrst timer

Its my first time to the track tomorrow. I own a 1997 pontiac T/A with a LT-1 V8 and i was wondering if it is beneficial to run a mix of 93-110 octane at the track? would it help at all or is it a waste of time and money?

Re: FIrst timer

Just run the 93 octane, that's what the motor requires. Save your money for other things.

unless you're getting like 360* of knock retard( ) pump gas will be fine. I'm assuming your car is a stocker here...

Just run premium unleaded pump gas. Too much octane will slow you down, plus if you don't require it, don't waste your money.
