I had one of Gtechs older models and it was really cool. I let a friend borrow it and he broke it to hard wire it to his car and couldn't put it back together. I would like to buy the SS because it looks like it is quite an improvement over the old one that I had.

I've played with one of the older ones before. It's pretty cool. It works great for practicing 1/4 mile runs somewhere or seeing how well your mods improve your car. I wouldn't expect it to match my track times though.

I have the RR version. It's a great tool to practice your 60's and 1/4.

Its also pretty good to see how you would run on the street. All you have to do is use it one at the track compare the timeslip with the gtech reading and then from there you would know the difference and could then see what you "run" on the street

Re: Gtech Pro Ss

The g-tech should be w/in +/- .01 sec of an actual ET. The trap speed is where it really differs. Usually about 5 mph higer than what you'll get at the track because the G-tech gives your actual MPH while the track averages over a certain distance.
As for Hp rating, there are too many variables for it to be accurate IMO.
