Post Has anyone used the tire "softener" treatments

My Hoosier Quick Time's are not as soft as they were new (couple years old, but good tread), and I was looking at the tire treatment in Summit, not VHT, but a softener that is supposed to make your tire stickier. Anyone ever try this, and how did you apply it, and what results?

I used that stuff last year but it didn't make any difference for me, I was using worn out Goodyear RSAs. It makes the tire soft though. I was simply spraying it on but I heard you're supposed to soak the tires in that stuff for some hours to really soften up the tires.

I have seen an article somewhere that showed it being applied with a paint roller.. may be worth a shot, since new ones are $250 each..
thanks for the response

I've used it in the past, put it on the night before a race, two coats. I would run the slicks past the wear holes.
I've got a tire sponser now, two sets a year!!

Thanks for the responses guys! Sounds like it is worth trying out, after I get my turbos done.
It actually hooks fairly well now, but I am looking for "just" that little bit extra!

i'm not trying to be an *** of anything, but it seems like i read somewhere that the chemicals in the tire softeners can cause the tire to fall apart without warning, has anyone else heard of this
