Post High MPH on ET and lousy times - need help!

Does this scream bad traction or is my 0-1000 feet suffering?
---------------------------
Here are the times:
R/T: .762
60': 2.444
1/8: 9.106
MPH: 84.37
1000: 11.596
1/4: 13.641
MPH: 110.59
---------------------------

The MPH seem too high for that ET, so I'm wondering where it's hurting? Also, 1st gear seemed soooooooooo sluggish - almost like I was in 2nd from 0-till it decided to catch up, I believe that is why my 60' are so bad. Anyone have any suggestions?

Your times will be a lot better if you get some drag radials and cut that 60' time down to atleast a 2.000 or less. You have a good trap speed, sounds like you can't get traction, I have the same problem and am looking to get some drag radials next week.

When did you hit the nitrous? Did you spray out of the hole? Your 60' time is horrible. Heat those drag radials up more next time, get those short times down and you should be in the 12s.

The n20 hit came in second gear right after the shift at 3800/3900RRM.

In every run - first gear seemed like I was in a g=higher gear - and then after about 25mph it would kick in...it was almost like the engine was being choked up -- but inspecting it later and doing some post-drag starts, it was fine.

I'm hitting the track again tonight - and see if I can get my launches down correctly. I will most likely manual shift the A4 this time and see if that also helps. Thanks guys!

Fixed the problem!
I manually shifted the A4 and sprayed thru my second and third gears - I also powerbraked to 2500 RPM on launch and although my first couple runs didn't produce good traction - I finally nailed a good run!

R/T: .986 (terrible)
60': .1723
330': 5.031
1/8: 7.792
MPH: 89.05
1000': 10.378
1/4: 12.197
MPH: 110.88

Sure beats the N/A 14.309@98.32!

Thumbs up

13.6's to 12.1's. It's amazing what a good 60' will do isn't it?

No kidding! The only issues I have now is consistency - I have to get these kind of times all the time, before I move forward.
