Bowl work and larger valves. Not nearly enough though...

Hey Shon I am starting to like my Th350 b/c it shifts every hit and works awesome at the track now if I can get a decent converter and some of that firts gear back I ran 1.67 60' and 7.78 87mph 1/8th @3600lbs with the 3.42's and a slipping 5k converter so I am hoping with a 3800-4000 and some 3.73's I will be able to get some 7.50's to 7.60's @89-90mph. So it looks like I will be keeping it in the car. I ran 10 passes on Saturday with no hiccups and 85 degree humid weather to boot. Later Clint

I just miss the OD, that is about all i dont like about the TH350. At first i thought my Vig 3500 was too much TC for the set up but I am not convinced of that yet. I want more gear to get off the line better. I run 2.52 1st gear and a 3.73 Rear Gear. I am going to contact the trans builder about more 1st gear. I can just about hold 2nd thru the traps in the 1/8th now. I did not try short shifting to see if that would help, i held it thru the lights.

Oh well, it is an ever changing combo...

I should have put that 2.75 low first gear too but I wanted to try the Th350 first to make sure I wouldn't take it out after the first weekend now I am kicking myself but that gear is almost $500 so I can out my 4.10's in and run a taller tire if the converter doesn't make too much difference. If you do the 4.10s and go to a 28" tall tire you have negated your work. (the way i see it). I do not see why a 4.10 and 26" tall tire would not be a good idea.

I can figure up the ratios if you want them...

I run Nitrous so I want to be able to cros at 128mph or so with a 200shot. I fiquered out the gear ratio and a 4.10 with a 28" which will hook better also comes out to 5412rpms in 3rd @110mph where a 3.73 with a 26" tire comes out to 5302rpms@110mph in third. I could also run some 26" or 27" tires to run N/A if needed. What do you think?

OK, that makes sense then.
I like as much gear as possible. I have not run the juice yet so my quest for N/A ET is a tad bit different. At this point i probably would just spray more out of the hole!!

Thats why I haven't changed gears yet but I would like to run 11's N/A b/c I have been running 11's for a long time with N2o but there is something about doing it on motor. I need tire now so I am really thinking about buying some 28's and putting the 4.10's in b/c I think it would be a sweet setup. I also may put the low first gear in my trans later
