New Best.....but I'm not happy
I drove out to Dragway 42 hoping for high 11s. Last year I was running 12.60s @ 109mph with 327rwhp. This time I had 412rwhp. My best ET of the evening was 12.531 @ 115.44mph with a 2.059 60ft
Track prep was horrible plus there was hardly any water in the burnout box. I tried all that I could to get a decent 60ft but most of them were in the 2.2x range. I was granny-shifting and still spinning all the way through 2nd gear. I started off with 20psi in my drag radials and finally gave up when I was down to 9 psi. The only thing that affected was my mph. I started off at 117.72mph with 20 psi and my last run at 9 psi was 114.15mph.
Plus at that point I was getting frustrated and started missing shifts. On my second last run I missed 2 gears and ran a 13.193 @ 111.58mph
My best 60ft was 2.059 and that was with about 11psi of air in the tires, that was also my best run. I was leaving right off of idle and shifting into 2nd at 4000rpm. Anything over 4000 and I'd spin right through 2nd gear.
The car is making the power to run 11s but I can't get it to the ground. I'll be getting a 9" very soon and switch to ET streets. The 10-bolt survived 14 passes tonight but its finished. The new gears growl at 10mph, the new posi is gone, my LH wheel bearing screeches in tight turns and slow speeds and on one run I heard a bang and now my "ABS inop" light is on

Damn Waz, if you get that thing to hook up......wow!
Sorry to hear bout the strip tonight, I was gonna go out with Jason but I ended up staying home and installing my torque converter. Still have to do my headers and some other stuff. Shoot me an email tomorrow, actually later today. I just finished up, gonna jump in the shower.

Hey that same thing happened to me... I tried to powerbrake the car and I can usually do it, they spun like one time and as soon as hi hit the brake to stand in it, the damn TPS light went out and traction came on and threw the car forward and theres lotsa banging now Maybe its time to get a job so I can get the 12 bolt....

In a case like this you would look more at the MPH then a non hooking ET. Your car, at that MPH IS a high 11 second car, maybe into the 11.80's.
MORE suspension work required and proper tires for the application should make you a happy camper again!!

If you need to borrow a pair of ET streets for a couple passes let me know. They have been worthless to me so far this year. Maybe I need more power. I also need a line lock damnit. Wish that GP would go through.
Better times to come though man.

Sorry to see you had some problems Waswa. Your MPH was good and I could see a couple more in the car easily.
Is it possible that the work you did suspension wise actually hurt your launch? I hope your rearend is ok.
Amazing how lower tire psi eats up MPH. That is why you run just what it takes to hook up and no more. I have had my best 60's around @ 14 psi.
Were the guys at D42 spraying compound down at all?
Did any of the guys with slicks mention traction issues? That is how I find out if the track is crap. If the cars with slicks are not hooking, street tired cars are gonna have problems.
