Smile Question about weight reduction

Is there a correlation of reduced weight to reduced 1/4 mile times for a roughly stock LT1.

Maybe a calculator for this somewhere?

Thanks,
Dan

100lbs usually equals about .10 reduction in E/T

So removing 500 pounds from a car should shave off .5 seconds. It's not as easy as it sounds. 500 pounds in a street legal car is a lot of weight to remove.

The easiest way to make a car faster is to reduce weight. If my engine was in a 2000 pound dragster I could probably run 8's.
