Post shift

i am sure that this question is asked the most of all, but i have heard different things. what is the best way to determine the optimum shifting point, i have heard that you should wait till the hp tops out but then i think about tq, anyways what do you do

Since torque moves the car, and hp is a function of rpm x torque and is in reality a fictional number, I always try to shift so the rpm drops to just below the torque peak, and then pulls back up. Best thing to do is vary your shift points and see what the car likes.
