Thumbs up Traction issues solved and set new best (barely)

Ever since I increased my stall speed wheel hop and spin became an issue. I installed a set of HAL's on the rear and this solved the wheel hop, but I still had some spin out the hole. I just installed a set of BMR LCA relocation brackets and man talk about a difference. Last night track conditions were poor, temp in the 80's with 96% humidity, But the car hooked to a 1.61 60'. I made three runs, but my 60' only showed on one slip
Anyway my previous best was a 12.538 in GREAT air. Last night I ran a 12.538, 12.536, & 12.533 in that order. I might as well of had a garden hose dumping into the intake with the humidity last night!!!
Can't wait for some good air in the fall.
DA last night was in the 1900' range.

Looks like the bolt on LT1's are alive and well. Im hopinh 5to have mine out in another week, looking to see what a 4.111 gear is gonna do on and off the hose......looking for 11.0-10.9 if it goes straight (not like etown) and hooks.

Good deal steve. Glad the lCA's fixed the problem. I can't wait untill we get some good air back. Your car should be low low 12s. Kick *** for a bolt on lt1.

Thumbs up

Dirk, let us know how you do switching to the 4.11's. I've been toying with the idea of 4.11's in my car when I switch to a 12-bolt, current gears are 3.73. Currently I'm rolling through the traps at 5850 or so and my 1-2 shift is a bit early. Once I raise the 1-2 shift I should be crossing the traps at an even lower rpm. Currently my power band is good to 6500. So I have plenty of rpm left on the top end for n/a runs, but I'm about to put a 100hp TNT kit on it. I know on the juice I'll be eating up some of the spare rpm on the big end.

Dirk, have you calculated the rpms you would be seeing at the finish line on the spray? What have you come up with? If it hooks you should be able to get that 10.99 if you don't run out of gear. Good luck

Right now im going through the traps around 5700 rpm. Plus im short shifting the whole deal. I have 27" tires on it now,so i'll see what happens N/A with the rpm. If need be,i have a set of 28" tires that should solve any "out of gear" scenarios.
Plus side is i just got the BMR drag rear swaybar on,and a fully boxed stock torque arm.
Soon as i figure out what i screwed up with programming (wont shift at full throttle) i should be ready to go. Spet 7th i'll be at Cecil county making some runs, and maybe spraying it once or twice.
