Low 12's would be nice. But if a 11.99 came my way I would feel a little better about all the money I've spent in the last year.

Hoping for high 12s on N/A stock internal LT1. We'll see in about a month when the track opens up around here.

I'm looking to go 9.0's, maybe even an 8.9x. I've got the power but can I get it to the track. The 6speed makes it hard.

Re: What are you hoping to run this season?

I was informed last night that I'll be running low 10's due to time constraints. My chassis is certified but I don't have fire pants, gloves, my comp license or anything else needed to run under 10's. And March 12th is approaching quickly!!!

Good luck with those goals!!!

I'm looking forward to watching that spectacle...err, I mean run Before you do that, you should attach that shoot lever by a means other than the zip ties.

Later,

Steve.

Re: What are you hoping to run this season?

I'm hoping to break into the 12's, had a hard time working the bugs out last summer. Previous best was 13.49 @ 106, I've added BMR LCA's, PHR, and torque arm, and plan on buying HAL adj. shocks.

What do you guys think?
I think, and have been told that the mph is there, just the 60' time of 2.19? that definately isn't helping.

Good luck to everybody this year!

That will help. What are you using for tires? If you get that 60' down below 1.8, you'll be close to your goals. I have the HAL's on our car and like them. Those with road race springs, air bags, a Spohn TA and 27x11.5x15 qtp's got me 1.6x 60's on the motor.

It's amazing how much abuse you'll put up with from people when they work on your car for free.

BTW, I've decided to do away with the zip ties and make you ride in the car and hold it.

Just street tires, Dayton 275/40/R17, don't really want to go with Drag Radials on my old 10 bolt, at least not without a T/A cover on it.
I did go to the track a few weeks after my 13.49 run with the BMR stuff on the car, and with the car developing a miss on the way there, it still ran a 13.50 popping and cracking all the way down the track, so there is definately more in the car, just trying to get bugs worked out and used to the new set-up. I kind of think my car isn't getting enough air just because it runs stronger with the air filter off. So I am going to make a new CAI and buy a new K&N.

Re: What are you hoping to run this season?

The next thing that I want to do is make another 12 second pass and get another 1.6 sixty foot time. I only have 1 of each now. Then I want to get into the 7s in the 1/8th (8.18 is my current best.) Maybe I can take some more weight out of the car... Current raceweight is about 4100#

You need to start running IHRA. Our track went IHRA 2 years ago.

No chassis certification until 9.00. 10.00 to 11.49 only need a single layer jacket. 9.00 to 10.00 only need a 2 layer jacket. 9.00 and quicker need 2 layer jacket and pants, neck coller. Gloves are required at 8.49 and quicker.

No real comp license until 7.99. Just buy an IHRA membership and tell them what ET break you're going to run in. I have a D membership license. That covers 9.00 to 10.99. No medical required.

All NHRA applications to run quicker than 9.99 should come with a jar of vasoline.
