350 transmission
#2
Re: 350 transmission
Yes, but it would take a lot of rework.
-TH350 is a 3-speed with no overdrive. Revs at freeway speeds could be very high. I have a TH400, and with the 4.11 rear, the revs were close to 4,000 RPM at 70 MPH. Had to install a Gear Vendors O/D to make it liveable.
-TH350 is not electronic. PCM would have to be reprogrammed to delete 4L60E control system, or codes for missing components would set in the PCM.
-New cross-member
-New driveshaft (different length)
-Have to move the torque arm front mount from the trans tailshaft to a body mounted cross-member.

-Have to find a way to install a speed sensor on the tailshaft of the trans. I know you can do it with a TH400, but not sure about the TH350.
