4l60e band sliping
Just rebuilt my 4l60e 500miles ago, just started shifting late 1-2 shift when i pulled the pan i seen metal and looks like the band is sliping its a kevlar band and jet servo, 4th servo is stock, car is make about 575h.p at the flywheel. any ideas on what i should do or why its doing this?

You built the 4L60E yourself? With that being known, there are numerous things that can contribute to band failure. One of the most likely, would be the fact that you used a Kevlar band. Don't you guys read any of the info I post on here? Is the Jet 2nd servo a billet servo? Was the drum (reverse input housing) surface flat? Correct pin length? Did you try to use a machined drum? What moifications did you make to the 2nd gear shift? Hopefully you didn't try using a Trans-Go shift kit??? How was your band air check when you assembled it?
You're making me think back very very far. I haven't had a 2-4 band failure in YEARS.
