Does anyone know if a 700r4 rebuild kit will work or is it specific to my 93. i probably have one of the most OE bastered child cars here its a 97 lt1 with the 94 harness and ecu in a 93 with the stock 4l60 the computer has already been tuned with the trans codes pulled out of the ecu so i cant just swap the electonic trans in i was told when i puchased the car alot of bs but he said the trans was good so i didnt see the need in keeping the codes anymore. So if anyone could help me with a part number to a rebuild kit that would work i would be greatfull

 

a 4L60 is the same basic trans as a 700R4. The TCC wiring, valve body, seperator plate, and reverse input drums are different than the older 700s, but they use the same rebuild kit. Be aware that the 4L60 has an extra checkball in the valvebody for reverse feed oil.
