Cooling System

My '91 Z28 blew its radiator because the fan was rubbing so I bought a new one and fixed the fan so it wont happen again. However now my engine stays cool when I'm driving but, lets say I drive for a while and let it sit on it gets hot 99% sure I have air in the system, so what I'm wanting to know is what's the best way to bleed/burp it. I have done the squeezing the hose and it has gotten better but not where it should be. Also have a new thermostat. Just wanting to know the most effective way to get the air out.
350 tpi engine.

Re: Cooling System

There are a couple tricks to get coolant out. One way is to heat the engine enough to allow the thermostat to open then let it cool and add coolant. Another way is bleeder screws if available.

94 Z28 A4 known mods... reworked ported heads/intake. Cam, 3" cat back flowmaster. unknown PCM tune. still researching car. ...

I looked at a diagram of the cooling system and didn't see one.

Re: Cooling System

Finally decided to pay a shop to get the air out of my cooling system. Still gets hot so, I have a new thermostat, new radiator, new coolant, and new sensor, and my fan works properly now. Now from what I've read its down to a head gasket, cracked head, or block. Is there anything else that might be causing this problem?

Re: Cooling System

What temperature do you consider to be "still gets hot"?
