Drivetrain Question

looking at a Z28 (1998) wondering what major problems these cars had, also wondering how long the drivetrain (on avg) lasts on the 350s (if the engine was kept up with, treated well)

if the car is stock, and seems to have been cared for, the powertrain can last 125K+. on 6 speed cars, the only real trouble spot may be the rear. it's a very small and thus pretty weak rearend and can be broken with a lot of hard driving on the 6-speed cars. aurtomatics dont usually have rearend problems and the trannies, while not the strongest thing out there, aren't bad if you dont go mod-crazy on them. after all bolt-ons are installed tho, the tranny may be getting a bit of a workout.

btw LS1s (98 and newer) are 346ci.
