my rear is crooked...

what all attaches the rear to the car?

about 3 months ago i slid out in the rain and my passenger side rear wheel hit the curb REALLY hard. well anyways, it seemed to hit relatively flush because the wheel isnt crooked or anything, but the wheel was destroyed. and after the hit, i noticed that my rear now sits about 1 to 1.5 inches off centered towards the drivers side. i checked the panhard rod, the upper panhard rod support (i think thats what its called) and the lower control arms, sway bar and end links and nothing is bent. everything is straight and like it should be, but my rear is still too far to the left, (looking from the rear of the car).

does anyone have any ideas what would cause the rear to shift like that? what i can look for? its driving me insane, when i hit a bump in the road, my car jumps to the side, and when it shifts real hard, it kicks to the side, almost out of control.

any and all help is much appreciated, THANKS!

BTW this is the 1994 z28

If nothing is bent it could of been that way from the start. Have you lowered the car any? that will let the rear shift over. You can get a adj phb and center it back up if nothing is bent.

nope, it definently wasnt like that before. everytime i see my car, im always inspecting it for something. like trying to pick it apart. i would have noticed something major like that for sure.

cars never been lowered, and the rear suspension is completely stock.

I did the same thing in my car and it pushed the whole rear end over my pan hard bar was only bent a little the body shop fixed that and it was still crooked so i took it back and they said that they ajust it. i'd just take it to a shop and have them look it over cause i later found out when i changed my gears that i also f**ked up my carrier and my housing was bent slightly.

i would really turn it in on insurance just pay your deductible mine ended up costing me lots of my on money because the body shop never repaired the carrier and housing!! so if you do take it to a shop make sure you tell them to look at the internals and the housing!! Better safe then sorry. Good luck

Instead of paying lots of money repairing your old one. trust me when i say just save the money and buy a 12 bolt moser ($2200 or so) i ended up paying something like $1850 or so. but i did upgrade to a forgde eaton carrier and went from a 2:73 to a 3:73 then broke those and finaly ended with motive 3:42 good luck I really hope you didn't brake anything internaly!! but i would check just incase.
