Opinions on Gears and Drag Radials

Just wanted to know what brand of gears I should get and where to go for them. I want 4.10's b/c my car is a six speed. I was also wondering what is a great set of drag radials for a car that is driven a considerable amount.

Motive gears or Richmond are both good, you can ge the pretty much from any of the suporting vendors here or summit racing. Drag radials I would say Nittos, they are a little harder compound, I have gone through 3 sets of BFG's in 2 years but I like to RACE.

I like the Motives also. For a daily driver drag radial there is no question I'd go with Nittos. My last set lasted about 13k miles.

Re: Opinions on Gears and Drag Radials

i have richmond gears. there is mininmal noticable noise, but i may be a little bit picky when it comes to that. and for drag radials, I bought the new Mickey Thompson's last summer and love them at the track. I do not recommend driving on them on the streets unless you have some kind of sick fetish for soft side walls in the curves

I would say the Nittos are good for a DD DR tire...

As for gears... I'm not one to recommend one.. I went through 3 sets of Motive's in 2 weeks with sticky DRs... so... I'm not one to recommend swapping gears on the 10-bolt.. although many many others have had good luck.
