Stall rpm's in high altitude?
Hey guys, I've been reading this site for a while now, and I finally have enough money from my summer job to start moding my 93 z28.
Anyways, as far as power making mods, I'll just be going with a cai and my borla I already have. I was also planning on installing a 3000ish TC, and thats what this post is about.
Since my car is at 5,000 feet, it is obviously way down on power compared to sea level. Knowing this I was wondering if this lack of power would affect which stall speed I should buy assuming I wanted it to stall at 3k here. I'd assume I would have to buy a higher rated stall to get my goal but I wasn't sure.
Anyone have any experience in this?
Thanks

Re: Stall rpm's in high altitude?
Thanks for the replies guys. I'm in Fort Collins CO. while I'm at school.
I'll be ordering the stall once I find a shop to install it. My hands are still swollen from my summer job... haha and I am planning on swaping my spark plugs out too lol.... that is going to be so fun.
Anyways... I probably have a few more days before I order the stall.. any last inputs?
Thanks

Yes. You can proably buy all the tools you would need with the money that you would save by doing the swap you self. Changing convertors isnt hard it is just frustrating and time consuming untill you get used the taking out the tranny.
