Where to go for 4L60E
I was wondering if anyone here knows/has experience with a transmission shop in central new jersey.
It's needed some tender loving care for a good year now. It refuses to shift at WOT at all. Under normal conditions its rock solid though. I've let it slide because I'm poor and haven't used it as a daily driver in some time, but that's going to change soon . I don't really know anything about transmissions, nor do I have the time to really take care of it myself.
The previous owner said theres a shift kit on it (I'm nearly certain a Trans Go) and from what I've read recently that is probably not very good for its health...
I'd really rather take it to someone know knows about 4L60E's, and CPT is only 100 miles away, but I don't know anywhere in Delaware where I could stay till its done. I'd also like someone to see whats wrong with it first, maybe it isn't terribly major (though I doubt that).
So if anyone has any ideas or knowledge, that would be wonderful. Thanks.

the tranny of your choice and you have 30 days to swap out the tranny
and return your old core. Google "FLT transmission", ask for Chuck.

Take it to CPT man, it's definitely worth the trip. I'm positive theres no one else out there with a reputation as spotless as Frank's. Also, his top of the line rebuild costs about as much as most shops charge for a base rebuild, you can't beat that.
I drove up from NC to drop it off and drove back to DE to pick it up 2 weeks later and I can't tell ya how nice it is to be able to cut 1.5 60's and not have to worry about the transmission blowing up
