Will stock clutch hold 410RWHP?

I am getting a heads and cam package soon. I will be around 400 -410 RWHP. Do you think that my stock clutch will hold this. He has held up pretty good so far. It is a fairly new stock replacement. If it wont hold, what is the best aftermarket clutch to get. Ive heard bad thing about almost every one of them and that worries me. THanks.

Probably not for long. Mine went out just shortly after my cam went in.

From what I've heard the the best clutch around is the Mcleod Twin Street.

I've also heard some good things about some of the spec clutches, but have no experience with them.

I have a Mcleod single disk right now and it does great on the street and track. I can only imagine what the Street Twin can do.

I'm not sure but I think the Street Twin runs $1000+.

I only paid around $400 for the Single clutch.

The first time to the track after my ported heads and cam my clutch slipped like crazy thru 1st,2nd and 3rd gear.smelt really bad.It was an LT4 pressure plt and stock disc.Got a Mcloed street twin haven't put the car back on the road yet but I have driven a 9sec car with a street twin and it is just awsome. You can get one for around $900.

What part of Ontario are you from. And where did you buy your clutch?

When spraying Im knocking around that rwhp's door. My SLP clutch and PP has held up good so far. Of course I havent had any good tire or sticky tire launches with it. Its kinda new also. Its been in about 8 months or so. I'd say on the street the stock clutch will hold up pretty well. As far as track launches etc, i would upgrade.

I wouldn't say they suck. Mine has taken ALOT of abuse in the past year. If I were you, get a Spec Stage IV. The Street Twin is a little overboard of a clutch at your power level IMO. Isn't the Stage IV rated at 750HP?

On the dyno it'll likely hold, but we've smoked many a stock clutch on the street/track. Pay me now or pay me later

Once you end up throwing some drag radials or slicks at the track forget it!! I run a McLeod Street Twin and it will take anything you throw at it!!

Ok so for the most part, Mcleod is a pretty good clutch? What about the Mcleod Dual Friction. Is this a good one? The one im lookin at is 390.00 but no Pressure plate. Should i get one with a PP?
