Post Finally got started on my car, again.

Well, I finally got started on getting my car running, again. Most of you know of the problems I had with Agostino Ripoff Engines. If you don't, sorry, I'm too tired to type it right now. We pulled the engine today and will be tearing it down next week. Here are a few of the pictures I took today. I will post more next week of the engine tear down.

I'm glad you are getting your car running again. What shop do you have it at now?

Good Luck

Sorry about your luck man, Mikie told me what happened to you. I got ripped in January on my car and had to tear it back down myself after dumping a ton of money in it. Hope you get it back together fast so you can drive it again.

Hey Chris, Glad to see you've gotten back into tinkering (if that's what you want to call yanking the engine out ) on the pace car. I'm ready to see you put up some awesome numbers with that thing and I'm even happier to see that your vette buddies didn't make you buy a C-4 and that your import didn't take you over to the other side.

Hey Raptor1, Glad to see that you took your car to CAM. I assure you that its in good hands and by looking at Jeff's tranny; Somebody damn sure knows what they're doing!! I'm saving up for OBD-II Edit so that I can get some dyno/Milkman Tuning myself...

Chris, keep us posted on how the Beast comes out and worn us before you get it back on the streets. I'd hate for some un-knowing F-bod owner to jump on you thinking that you're all bolt-ons; and then go selling their car cuz they just got smashed by 10-12 car lengths.

Oh yeah, let us know what gears you have now and how she revs at highway speeds with that TH400... Catch you later man and hope to see you AND the car at a track someday soon...

Chris good to see you working on that thing again. I think all of s would love to see your car at the track running full blast. Is Jim doing the work for you. My car is supposed to be up there as well next weekend for him to pull the motor and take it back to More.

Behemoth, me too. My car is back home in the garage. I took it to a friend's in Hickory and we pulled the motor at his work.

Thanks DirtyDan, although, you can't believe all of what Mikie says, he used to own a Ford. I'll definately be happy to get back on the streets.

Justforfun, when is the Autofair? I won't be there with the car, but I'll probably be there to drool.

Hey Raptor1, nothing against Jeff at all, I have alot of respect for him. I just have a pretty good deal worked out with Jim and I can keep the car at the house to try and clean it up a little in the engine bay.

Rockafella, me too There's no way I'll ever go to the other side, I love my Chevy.
You'll definately know when I'm coming back, we'll meet up at Rock or Darlington. There are a few other owners out there that are going to get jumped on, and they will find out just how far from stock it is. Right now I've got the stock rear end and 3.23 gears. I will upgrade the rear end and switch to 3.73 gears. It's not too bad right now at highway speeds, but that will change with the 3.73s. Great times in your sig BJ.

IGOW/N2O, I'm glad to be doing something to it too. I can't wait to get back to the track, and out on the streets. Yeah, Jim is the man. We are going to be up there Saturday morning around 10 to start tearing down the engine. Stop by if you're in the area.

Chris

Good luck w/ the car Chris. I hate to say it but sometimes if you want it done right, you've gotta do it yourself. :/

Hope to hear of some good luck coming your way.

Ryane, you are my goddess, you know I don't want none of the '91.

Rich, thanks bud. I'll be sure to let you know when I'll be at the track with the new Pacecar.

Mark, all to true. That's part of the reason I got a 2nd job.

I took apart the engine today and here are some more pics. Enjoy.

Chris,

Those pictures of the pistons and cylinder walls look sick? You ever find out what happened in there?

Hey Chris sorry to hear that you had to pull that thing again.I would be more than happy to help you out if you need help with the rebuild or what ever you end you doing this time. I just moved up here to Charlotte over near Sugar creek rd. and W.T. harris. I will give you a call sometime this week as I'm kinda busy unloading or should I say unpaking right now, but anyway I will talk to you soon.
