Need opinions about 1986 Z28
Hi,
I have had my 1986 Z28 garaged for the past few years and kept off the road. It is in mint condition, however it has 106k miles on it. I was wondering if it was worth just keeping garaged and hope someday the value increases, or just drive it and rebuild it later when I can better afford another car. I guess basically I am just wondering could it be worth anything one day kept like it is, or should I just enjoy it and not worry about losing any future value of the car. I would definitely appreciate any insights and opinions. Thanks!

Personally, I would forgo any hopes of it increasing in value and just enjoy it. 99.99% of modern (i.e past 20 or 30 years) aren't really going to be viewed at like we view our current classics.

Enjoy it while you can. 3rd gens are bad about rotting headliners, cracked dashes, door sills...etc. Dont let it get away from ya...
IMO the only "old school" F-bodies out of the 3rd and 4th that will be worth bills later on will be the 98-02's...GM definitely sent the F-Bod out with a great powertrain...

Thanks for the input. It makes good sense and already backs up the thoughts I had. Glad I came across this forum with such helpful people. Of course, if you're like me, it doesn't take much encouragement to start talking cars . Thanks again.
