AFR 195 heads... Need Headers. HELP!
Afternoon,
I am looking for some assistance.
I have a 96 camaro with a 383 and AFR 195 Street Eliminator Heads # 1039
I have had some serious issues finding a set of headers. Kooks tech have told me that they can Fab a set up for around $2500 except i live in Alberta, Canada lol. This seems a bit rediculous for such a common head.
If anyone has information on how i might resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: AFR 195 heads... Need Headers. HELP!
I have a 97 Camaro ss. 383 and MM6. AFR 190 heads. I use Pacesetter headers. No mods to them. Used stage 8 fasteners and two arp hex head short type 3/8-16 unc. It was not easy. They fit good. Also did the Y and everything out back.

Re: AFR 195 heads... Need Headers. HELP!
What's the big deal? You trying to retain the dual cats? there are headers that do that just fine although it is a hideous setup from the factory with those giant flanges. But normal headers for that car work. There's nothing special about your AFR 195 Eliminator exhaust ports even if they are a little higher or whatever. I have the original 195 LT4 heads and the SLP 1-3/4 headers I used worked fine, aside from their careless quality problems which caused me a few hours of extra work. I've done Pacesetters before and only problem I ran into was having a bolt hole so close to a tube so that you couldn't get the bolt in without slopping out the hole a bit. It was one of those things that was pretty hard to deal with with the engine in the car.
