Magnaflow Catback Question

Magnaflow Catback Question
I have seen (pictures only) two different Magnaflow catback configurations for 93-97 F bodies.
One where the tailpipes exit from the right and left side of the muffler and turn 90 degs back towards the rear of the car.
A second one where both tailpipes exit on the drivers side of the muffler and the passenger side tailpipe goes around the front of the muffler and then out to the back of the car.
Can someone confirm this or am I mistaken?
And in case this is true, wich one is the newer and or better deesign ?

I checked the V6 design at their site PN 15694 and it clearly shows the loop around the muffler. The intermediate pipe is 2.5" though.
Thanks for clearing that.

Magnaflow uses a straight thru muffler and construction is in SS.
I dont know if sound changes as the muffler gets old. I would like to know if they use some kind of packing and what is it made out of if somebody should know.
Flowmaster uses internal baffles. I would guess it is more restrictive.

I know exactly why they do this as I have the orignal magnaflow catback (the one where both tailpipes come from separate sides of the muffler, no wrapping around), this design was somewhat faulted where since the inlet of the muffler was right next to the passenger side tailpipe exit the majority of the exhaust flows out through the passengers side than the drivers. I can audibly hear the difference and see it when its real cold. They moved both tailpipes over to the other side to fix this problem. I have heard that this somewhat actually reduces flow, so the original design although flawed does indeed flow better.
