mine broke when we were doing my header install... luckily i had a gm master tech helping me haha... he got a 90* pipe bend and put it in the hole with it pointing towards the front of the motor and made it so the sending unit is also going towards the front of the motor instead of straight out towards the header

I did for about 8 months until i switched to my taylor OTVC setup I never burnt a wire the only reason I changed was because I had this kit laying around and had never gotten the chance to put them on.

There is absolutly no reason to have to add a elbow on the sensor to make it work with your pacesetters, just replace it as normal it will be fine.

I had to tie off a couple of wires to make sure they didn't hit the header tubes on my old 96 SS. I also put some heat wrap around one wire just in case. Take your time and do it right so you don't have to replace anything later on.

i didnt have that problem with the sender maybe its an issue on earlier cars? and if the boots are touching you will be ok. i started mine up expecting to burn multiple wires immediately and it never happened, even a year and a half later. when you replace them though you will want to do an over the valve cover routing.
