10.8:1 CR + s-trim maxed out

10.8:1 CR + maxed out s-trim, 93octan w/ water/alcohol, and coated Dimond's, is this a bad idea? Should we (my brother's car) keep boost down to about 8#. Or is this to much for that CR also?

I would try it, just be careful and slowly get into it and if it starts detonating then let out of it and lower the boost.

I ran over 10psi to a 100% stock bottom end lt1 w/ ~10.7 SCR and after a few weeks I spun a few bearings but when i tore it down, the pistons were still 100%.. ring lands and all!

Tuning is going to be your main factor... then perhaps weather.

Should be doable with straight meth.

Well we'll probably try it like that, slow at first then let it rip.I hope it doesn't blow up on hot day. Would getting 2 tune's be a good idea? 1 for normal temperature's, and 1 for a hot day @ the track, pulling more timing out for safety. Then all id have to do is upload it to car from laptop? or is that a stupid idea.

With Buick guys running 28 psi boost and DSM guys running 45, I don't think 8 psi on 11/1 compression is that bad if you're putting in enough Meth.

You seem to really like Meth, so we'll do some more research on that stuff,water/alchol sounds easier to get my hands on, but if meth is what works best then g..damit meth it is.
