That's about what you should have expected. 35 degrees is WAY to much timing. Run low 20's and disable the knock sensor. CR is fine.

1. What cam did you go with? (I still think the smaller cam will lose power)
2. That XS intercooler has its own issues. The water outlet is at the center of the tank. That leaves a large air pocket, where no cooling takes place. If you intend on keeping the XS, then redrill the water outlet at the very highest location possible. I eventually replaced my Vortech aftercooler with a Bell unit, which was 2.5x the size and 2x the flow area.

solid roller cam fitted.Cam specs are 236/247 .632/.668 114 (+4) .Bullet VS 3100 solid roller springs and Ti retainers.gain wasnt much.Rev limit kept at 6700 RPM. IAT 27-30 c. same spark timing.Next step is bigger intercooler.

So u picked up 5hp and 8 ft lbs goin from hyd roller to solid? Guess that answers my question. I'm stayin hyd!

peak numbers weren't a big increase, but you picked up a ton of torque down low! Definitely an improvement.

in to track this im running roughly 22psi with my F1A but just changed to an auto from a 6 speed... i want to change my cam
