I'm not going to argue that the stock PCM is better than aftermarket, just that it works quite well and requires way less tuning time. The aftermarket PCM's have way more capabilities, but require alot more setup time, money, wiring, etc...

The stock PCM has tables for fuel versus temperature plus other things. Is that the different conditions you referred to, ramair96ws6?

Also, Craig Moates has devised a way to log and tune the stock PCM on the fly.

I love using F.a.s.t. stuff its so damn easy to use and it can make so many corrections its crazy.

I know you can make great power with a stock pcm Ive tuned a ls1 with a f1 to 750 rwhp at 17#s of boost it was a monster lol. I have a lot more time on LS1 stuff compared to lt1. I just love the aftermarket stuff for big HP

 

Wow didn't expect all the responses. FAST would be nice also but the limiting factor being the $$. No need for me to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to for the time being meaning if I can get away w/ the stk pcm & 60lb inj w/ out issues then that's the route I take for the time being.

 

is 255lph single pump enough for 700bhp ?? Or dual 255lph pump is required??

 

Based on the research I've done you can get away w/ the 255 but you'll need some type of boost-a-pump. I think that's one the ragged edge though BUT it works. Most big hp folks running around here do that at the minimum but seems the best way is a dual pump w/ -8an lines etc.

 

what about for 1200 fwhp what size injectors and fuel pump?

Running a 383ci D1 15psi with 72# Low_Z and a versafuller. 1997 with Lt1 edit. I had to go with 2 - 255 LPH in tank pumps and a single KB BAP on pump #1. What really helped is re-plumb of the stock set-up from the tank. The stock small line is very flow restrictive. Also running a M6, and maybe going with a Moser rear.

 

Where did you get the intank dual pumps from?

 

I built my own dual intank 255 setup. It doesn't take a whole lot of creativity, a hose clamp, and a "T" to make it work. However, with the stock fuel lines, you have to trigger one on boost.

Any more detail on the setup Mike? Wiring schematic perhaps on how the 2nd one was wired up? Also, did you fit them both in the bucket?
