8-9psi with 10.2:1?
I have a semi-high compression LT1 right now with forged pistons and otherwise stock rebuilt shortblock. Heads are cleaned up stock, forged -5cc pistons, and decked block. Looking to enlarge chambers to 62cc and use a .049 gasket to achieve around 10.2:1 SCR. Think I'll be okay with 8-9psi and a conservative tune?
Probably go with an ATI P1SC intercooled kit.
Really need to step up my HP and ported heads isn't gonna get me where I want to be at 525+rwhp. Nor, do I really want to tear my 5k mile shortblock apart.
Cam right now is CC306, but will change to something more blower friendly soon after.
Back when I first got the car in '99, I toasted my factory 72k mile motor with a 6lb Powerdyne kit. Knock sensor stopped working and ringlands went bye bye. Sworn off FI ever since, but wanna try it again, conservatively of course.

That compression would be fine if u were going to run alcohol but I doubt thats what u want to do. Its just a little too high to run a blower with that much boost. If u were running about 4lbs it would be a little better but still on the high side for that compression

I would do it and keep the cc306.... then some good gas and a really good tune.
It wouldn't be an ideal setup but it would work. People run more than that on stock motors.
You will either have to give up some timing or run better than pump gas.
